How To Document A Science Investigation Using Google Keep.

Recently, my class did a science experiment, where we explored how rain falls.  In short, you put shaving foam (the cloud) on top of a cup of water and drop food colouring onto it.  When the cloud gets full, it begins to ‘rain’ the food colouring.

Have a look at a video we took:

How did the class document the experiment?

We used a brilliant app called Google Keep.  Its primary purpose is to make notes and reminders but it has a lot of uses.

Watch my video tutorial on how to use Google Keep:

My class combined notes, pictures and doodles to write-up the experiment.

The app was really effective.  Here is an example of what the students’ achieved:

Other ways I plan to use this technology is for drama freeze-framing and also for general note-taking.

Have you used Google Keep?  How?  Leave a comment below.

  1. Google keep looks very useful for exam revision. I have a large pile of revision material on my desk and this could be the perfect tool to extract writing, pics and q&a’s. I would never have used this without your explanations and demonstrations. Thanks!
