EdTech Tutorial: How to use Todaysmeet.com to create a classroom chatroom.

Todaysmeet.com is one of my favourite websites to use in class. It is basically a class chatroom.

Here it is in action. My class had to revise maths vocabulary:

How do I use TodaysMeet?

Go to https://todaysmeet.com .

Then simply choose a name for your room and decide how long you want it to be open.

Your students can then type in https://todaysmeet.com / YOUR ROOM NAME
They then put their name in the ‘nickname’ box.

And that’s it! You have your own private class chatroom.

I used Todays Meet for a maths vocabulary revision class. All the students had to think of words for + – × ÷

The students really enjoy using the website and it supports their learning well.

Finally, you can change to ‘presentation mode’ and show the chat on a projector.

I’ve used TodaysMeet for 2 years and loved it! but found I wanted some more functionalities. Therefore, I’ve made my own NEW TODAYSMEET! called YoTeach!

It has all the features of the old todaysmeet, PLUS more: drawing and annotating functions; like comments; download transcripts; mute students; delete messages; ALL FOR FREE!! QR code generation; password protected rooms; search function for rooms, etc…
